Yes, we have a parking lot which is accessible from Emerald Ave, cross street is Lombard.  There is also plenty of ample street parking, accessibility, and the walk-up fromLombard. The MAX train has a stop at the North Lombard Transit Center, which is 0.9 miles from The Dime Store and takes 15 minutes to walk.

The Dime Store opened in 2018 on 82nd and Holgate.  In 2024, it closed and started looking for a new location.  We found our forever home in North Portland on North Lombard street and have been there since 2025.

What should I expect on my first dispensary visit?

We check your ID at the front window in the entrance lobby, and then welcome you into our dispensary.  To keep things as safe as possible for everyone, we check your I.D. before unlocking the door on to our sales floor.  There is no rush, and we love to chat about our selection, deals, cannabis knowledge, and everyday conversations.  You may ask as many questions as you need so you can get the best products at the best price.  We are happy to help guide you to the best products for your needs.

No.  All walk-ins age age 21+ (or age 18+ with an Oregon state medical cannabis ID) are welcome.

Generally around 5-10 minutes.  We value community and are grateful that you are here with us.  Take as much time as you need.  It is easy to make a quick trip and we provide fast service.  If you need to take your time, that is totally fine.  We don’t want to rush you and want you to have the best time possible while shopping with us.

Can I look at the products before buying?

Yes, of course.  We don’t weigh out your flower until you choose it and all smells out of the jar are free :).  We have a deli-style counter, which means we can chat with you about what you are looking for while showing it to you in front of us.  It’s like the candy shop at the beginning of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…..except with weed.  Some products we are not allowed to let you touch, but looking is fine.

Is there a limit on how much I can spend?

There is technically no spending limit, but there is a limit to how much cannabis you can carry.  Those limits are 2 oz of cannabis flower, 10 g of cannabinoid extracts or concentrates, 10 g of cannabinoid products for inhalation, 16 ounces (or 1lb) of a cannabinoid product in solid form (edibles), 72 oz of cannabinoid product in liquid form, 4 immature marijuana plants (clones), and 10 marijuana seeds.

Can I return cannabis products?

Yes and no.  Per OLCC regulations, we are not allowed to give you a refund or process a return of product.  We do take some exchanges in specific situations.  If your vape cartridge becomes defective and isn’t more than halfway gone, keep the packaging, and we will exchange it for you.  All other sales are final, and there are no refunds.

Do you check ID every time?

Yes, we check your I.D. every time you enter.  If you need to run to your car or come back, even if we recognize you, we have to check your I.D.  This helps us stay OLCC compliant and keep stocking the goods!

What’s the difference between indica, sativa, and hybrid?

Here's the truth: after decades of crossbreeding, nearly everything sold at any Portland dispensary is a hybrid, so those indica and sativa labels mean a lot less than people think. The old rule of thumb: indica to wind down, sativa for a boost, but it won't predict how a specific product feels for you. What actually matters is the product itself, how much you have ingested, and your own body.  The terpene profile plays a critical role in your experience.  Naturally derived compounds like myrcene guide how the experience feels physically. Every product sold at a licensed Oregon dispensary carries a state-required label, and once you know the layout, it tells you almost everything about what's in the package.What you'll find on the label:Product name and type — the strain or product name, plus what it is (usable marijuana, edible, concentrate, extract, etc.).Universal symbol — the Oregon cannabis symbol (a leaf inside a triangle) that marks the product as containing THC.Net weight or volume — how much product is in the package.THC and CBD content — shown as a percentage for flower and concentrates, and as milligrams per serving and per package for edibles. Look for "Total THC" on flower; that number accounts for THCA converting to THC when heated.Harvest date and packaging date — flower shows when it was harvested; other products show when they were made or packaged. A few things the number doesn't tell you:How the product will feel. Cannabis contains dozens of other cannabinoids and terpenes that shape the experience. Two products with identical THC percentages can feel very different.Whether it's "good." Growing, curing, and freshness matter more to most experienced customers than a couple of percentage points.How much you're consuming. Percentage is per gram; the actual amount depends on how much you use.Oregon requires lab testing, so the number on the label reflects an independent test of that batch.
